Yep, it's finally true! After months of setbacks and red tape (and many answered prayers,) our adoption profile is up on the Bethany website for all to see. It didn't happen in January like we originally thought, but June is what we got and we'll take it! We're so thankful and excited! If you go to bethany.org, you can look over to the right and click on "Family Profiles." Then you can find us listed under Jeff and Amy, or you can narrow the options to our home state and we're on the second page. Be warned, it's pretty personal. We're exposing ourselves a bit to share this with everybody. But, we try to live our lives openly...so here we go!
You may notice that there are about 48 pages of waiting families. With about 10 families per page, that's almost 500 families waiting to be chosen by a birth mom or birth parents. And that's not counting those who choose not to put their profiles online. So, it's safe to say there are many, many people out there praying to be blessed with a baby right now.
Since our profile lists a location, you might be surprised to see me posting about it. (Some of you know I'm cautious about putting information that could divulge our location on our blog.) But, the city listed is just a Bethany office, which may or may not be where we live. Ha! :) )
Now we enter the official "waiting" period, and it's also a time for "networking." It's our job to share our desire to adopt with anyone we can. We never know the path God might use to connect us with a birthmom. That's just one more reason to share our profile with you. You never know when a woman in your life might need to make an adoption plan for her baby, and we would be thrilled to be chosen by her.

I just read your profile on Bethany's web site. It was wonderful and brought tears to my eyes!! The baby God chooses to place with your family will be soooo very blessed. I'll be praying for you!

SO AWESOME to finally see your profile up, but a bit overwhelming too...there are a lot of waiting families. We'll just keep praying and leaving this in God's hands. He has the right child for your family!
Your profile is spectacular. I seriously CAN'T imagine being a birth mom who read that and NOT choosing you! I wish there was a spot on the Bethany website for people who love you to post about how great you and Jeff and Jonathan are... but it would be too bad for all the other waiting families because all of us would write such long, winded, glowing reports about you that there would be no space for the other families. So maybe it's not such a good idea anyway. It simply wouldn't be fair to the other people. :-)
So happy for you guys to cross this HUGE milestone in the process. CANNOT WAIT to meet the baby God brings to you.
