Waiting Family Newsletter #2

We got our second newsletter in the mail from our Bethany office today.  (Click here to remember the first one.)  Here are the latest numbers from the newsletter:

  • 8 babies have been placed with their "forever families"
  • There are 26 "waiting families"
  • 3 families have been matched with birth parents
  • 12 potential birth moms are in counseling
  • 1 baby is in Bethany's interim care
  • 4 women are living in Bethany's House
The first names of the couples who are "waiting families" are listed in the newsletter so that people can pray for them.  The two couples we connected with the best in our seminar are listed right before our names (yay-we're listed!)  We're the last couple listed of the 26.  Also listed:  a couple who spoke about adoption during the adoptive parents speaker time.  They're going for it a second time!  They seemed like a wonderful couple, and their profile is already up on the Bethany website-I noticed it a few days ago.  I'm guessing and hoping that deciding to adopt the second time around is easier since so much of the red tape is already taken care of.  This couple's profile went up really quickly, so it must be true.

Mother's Day is Sunday.  For those who struggle with infertility or wait to adopt, this can be a really hard time.  Going to church on Mother's Day can be the hardest thing to handle.  So, if you think of it, please pray for the women who long to be mothers on this special Sunday.
