Long-Distance Excitement

Our good friends, Dave and Jen, have some adoption excitement in their family that I just had to post about. Dave's sister, Kristen, and her husband, Eric, are prospective adoptive parents, and they have a possible match with a birth mom. Sangeeta (our adoption worker) has told us so many times that "you never know what the birth parents are looking for," so try to show who you really are, and that special something will stand out to the ones who are looking for someone like you. Well, there's a birth mom working with Dave and Kristen's agency whose "special something" that she wants is a young adoptive mom. Dave and Kristen are the only "young" couple working with the agency now, so they're in the running to be chosen for this birth mom...maybe today! You can read what Jen has to say about this exciting development here.  We hope and pray for a quick and smooth process for them and that, if this is the baby that God has for them, that the baby can be a part of their family soon.  We've never met Dave and Kristen, but we're flattered that they read our blog!  (Hi!)

And, on a different topic...I've been asked by some sweet friends if we've heard anything else from our former home state that seems to be dragging its feet in getting back to us...in a word...no.  I'll be sure to post as soon as I find out anything!
