Un. Be. Lievable.

Well, I promised to post news from Sangeeta, and there is some.  I'll try to summarize it here.

*The state foster care clearances for Jeff came back fine.

*The Dept. of Justice has no record anywhere of my live scan transaction for adoption clearances.  (That's the one I did right after Christmas.)  I will have to have my fingerprints rescanned and do a brand new submission.  Once these clearances come back, all the adoption clearances for both of us will be back and we can be approved for adoption.  (**UPDATED:  That also means that nothing happens until these come through.  So, in a way, we're back to square one.)

*There is a brand new law re: families who have lived out of state in the past five years.  We both have to have child abuse clearances from every state we've lived in during those years.  Jeff and I have to fill out forms giving the state permission to do this, have them notarized, and send them to our current state.  Our state will then send requests to the states we've previously lived in and wait for those states to send clearances back here.  (**UDATED:  Had we stayed put in one state, we wouldn't have this one to deal with.)

I'm going to see Sangeeta tomorrow to get the new forms and information.

Obviously we are frustrated about this, and Sangeeta is frustrated, too.  I'll post about that another day.  For now, I'll just say:

Un. Be. Lieveable.

I don't even know what to say about this- You must be so frustrated. We'll be praying that these clearances come through PRONTO. The day is coming that ALL of this will be complete and behind you.... soon, soon, soon!
