The Latest from Sangeeta

Sangeeta called this afternoon to update us on our progress.  She said that our fingerprint clearances have not come in yet.  She thinks it might be due to the fact that the laws have changed for people who have lived out of state.  That's us!  Grrrr.  So, apparently, part of our stuff has come in , but not all of it.

She also said that the year has started off busy with lots of matches and almost-matches made between adoptive and birth parents.  Part of me panicked when I heard that.  (We got left behind!  That could have been us!)  But let's face it, this is totally out of our hands.  God has the situation all planned out, and if this is really going to happen, he has our baby (and birthparents) picked out already.  Those pesky clearances from the state are not going to goof up God's plan.  But they can goof up my attitue a bit!

She did say something nice:  "Your beautiful profiles are on my desk, and I'd love to be able to show them!"  We sure would love that, too.
